Just Another Day

It's about time I wrote another message here. But have I done anything to write about? Let's see... I went to church again on Sunday - I'm going to Myton Church now. In the evening I watched ice hockey again, and Coventry Blaze came back from 3-1 down against Baisingstoke Bisons to win 6-3. So that was fun. Other than that I've been working and emailing Nomi. Yeah, so that was interesting, wasn't it? I'll see if I can do something a little more thrilling for you to read about next time.

Ice Hockey

This evening I watched Coventry Blaze beat Cardiff Devils 4-0 at ice hockey. It's the first time I've watched an ice hockey game live. I watched a few bits and pieces on telly when I was in Canada, but wasn't impressed. But I love it live! I thought that since I'm going out with a Canadian I should at least try to like their national sport. But I won't need to try. It's a cool game!
(Note to Canadians - in England I have to say ice hockey, because just hockey would mean field hockey.)

Yeah it's true that hockey does indeed rule, though it's disappointing that the NHL (National Hockey League) is out for the season! Wretched players always whining for more money! So next time you're out James, we'll have to give a stick and go play some proper shinny (that is, pickup hockey with no pads, whacking of the shins will often occur hence the name).

Back From Canada

I've just got back from Canada, and I'm rather tired, and still living in a different timezone. Which means I feel like it's the middle of the night at the moment. But I had a really good time, and saw lots of rocks, trees and water. We started in Prince George in British Columbia (PG in BC from now on) and drove to Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, where we stayed for a few days, before driving to Winnipeg in Manitoba, staying there for a few days, heading back to Lethbridge in Alberta, and then returning to PG. I got to meet lots of Nomi's friends, especially in Saskatoon and Winnipeg, were we went out for meals with loads of them. And if any of them are reading this - it was really nice meeting you, although I can't remember all your names. At least, I can't remember which names go with which faces.
But most importantly, I got to see Nomi for two weeks. And that made me very happy. Now I just have to wait half a year until I can see her again. That doesn't make me so happy. But hey - the last half a month flew by, so hopefully the next half a year will too.

Hopefully those of you in England can keep him occupied for me so he doesn't get mopey whilst I'm off on a cruise ship! No more winter for this girl soon! Hurray! Aren't you glad I didn't cause him to lose digits to frostbite? ;)
