A Church
January 31st 2006, 11:38am
Finally, Naomi and I have a church booked for our wedding. And a pastor. So I guess we can really get married now! Although we can't right now, because she's still in Canada, I'm still in the UK, and our wedding isn't until July 29th.

Famous Men
January 30th 2006, 11:46pm
The other night I went to the pub, and saw Prince Philip, Rowan Williams and Victor Garber there. Well, they weren't really there, just people who looked uncannily like them. I wish I'd had my camera phone with me.

Another Week
January 28th 2006, 11:43am
Naomi has started blogging again and told her friends to check out my website, so I guess I should try and keep this up to date too.
Alas, I have no photos to post on this entry. And the blog entry about my Canadian car will get pushed off the bottom of this page when I post this. Which is a shame, 'cos it looks really nice. But it doesn't work, so maybe I'll put another picture on here when it's fixed.
So, while Naomi is busy looking at churches and choosing dresses and all that jazz, I'm busy working, trying to pay off a few debts and save up some money before the wedding. With the Euromillions lottery having a jackpot of a hundred million pounds today I was very tempted to buy a ticket. But I've never bought a lottery ticket yet, and I don't intend to start now. But it would be nice being able to pay for all my friends to go over to the wedding! Any suggestions on how I could raise about fifty thousand pounds in the next couple of months?

Legally? No.

Nous Sommes En France
January 18th 2006, 1:02pm
Well, we're not actually in France at the moment, but I can't remember how to say that in the past tense. It's a long time since I studied French at school. But the point is, Naomi was over for a fortnight just after Christmas, and one of the things we did was to go to Paris for a couple of days. We stayed in a hostel just below the Sacré-Coeur, and spent most of the two days walking a lot. We saw most of the famous landmarks of Paris, ate a fair amount of bread, cheese and pastries, and I got a few photos, which I may add to the photos page. Or may not, because it'll involve me having to add a new section to the menu, and I'm not sure I can be bothered.
As well as going to Paris we also went down to Bournemouth to see my brother, and to Sheffield to see my sister. And to Leicester of course, to see the rest of my family. We also went to Hay on Wye to go to the bookshops, and so that Naomi could add Wales to the list of countries she's been to. I drove one thousand four hundred miles altogether during the two weeks she was here - just over half the distance we travelled during the two weeks I was in Canada last Christmas.
Now it's going to be a few months before I get to see Naomi again, which is far too long to not see my fiancée for. But I have to sort out a load of things before I can go over. Hopefully I can make it there in April though.

Good to hear! Is it Westminster? Okay, I can't remember the name - it's West something - but the one Nomi & I saw this weekend, with all the natural light? It looked great from the outside! Not the rustic church with a bell though. Looking forward to the big day!

Yes, it will be at Westminster Presbyterian. That's the one, with all the natural light, the more modern church, the one I looked through the windows at... All that jazz!
