Eden Burning were one of the most popular Christian bands for several years, and released thirteen recordings, including two singles and a video, before finally winding up in 1996. Their musical style changed as they progressed from folk rock which was often compared to the Levellers and even James, to a more mature sound that can be found on the album Brink, which is undoubtedly their finest album.

The line up started with Paul on guitars, Nive on bass, Charlotte on vocals, Mike on drums and Neill on mandolin. After Smilingly Home, Neill left and was replaced by Charlie who brought in his electric guitar as well as the mandolin, and Nive left after Mirth and Matter, to be replaced by Mowf, who brought his fretless bass and a new, funky sound.

(The drawings of the band members are actually drawings of the postcards which used to be available from Eden Burning in their list of stuff to buy.)
