you could be the meadow
You Could be the Meadow was the first single to be released by Eden Burning.
It was released 'from 5 - 12 September 1994', and was quite difficult for
some people to get hold of (but not for me. The HMV in Leicester had several
copies in stock). It did manage to reach position 104 in the charts and sold
nearly 3000 copies. The single wasn't very good, although after quite a lot of listens it would start to stick in your mind annoyingly. It was good to finally get a recording of Matty Groves - the song I'd heard at nearly all their gigs but never got on tape. The tracks on the EP were:
- You Could be the Meadow
- The Brontes, Alice and Me
- Forgive-Me-Not (live)
- Matty Groves (live)
