After church today I went for a random drive to take some photographs. I started off in Karen and then just kept going. After a while the tarmac ran out, but the road was still quite smooth for a bit. Then the road started to get bumpier. At one point the road was paved with large bricks and it was probably bumpier than when there was just dirt. I didn’t know where I was going, but I could always see the Ngong Hills in front or to the left of me, so I was pretty sure I could get back to Nairobi sooner or later!
I only took about five photos in the end, but it was nice drive, and it’s always interesting to see just how different everything is only a few kilometres outside Nairobi.
Was it the Yellow Brick Road(Wizard of Oz)?
Hi
Have you received the e-mail I sent you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Chris
I forgot to mention the pothole I found on the road in one valley – it stretched over halfway across the road and was a metre or two deep. There was only just enough room to drive past it. Next time it rains the road will probably get to narrow to use.
