Blindride

Yesterday I went to Manchester to see a band called Blindride playing at the Night and Day Cafe. I had no plans to go until the afternoon, when my housemate John said he was going, so I went along too. Some people might say it’s a bit excessive to go all the way to Manchester just to see a band, but it only took just over an hour and a half to drive there, so it’s not really that far away.

The Night and Day Cafe was a good venue for a band, and Blindride were a good band for the venue. I think for the first time at a pub gig, I could actually hear the individual instruments playing, as they had the balance just right. And each song sounded different, they were really tight, and there was some great guitaring. I was impressed! And then I discovered that it was their first ever gig together, and I was even more impressed.
