Shown to the right is the old style of contact lens container that I have been using, as seen through my eyes before I’ve put my contacts in. The lens for my right eye is in the grey end of the tube, the left lens is in the blue end.
Now this is the new style of contact lens container. The lens for my left eye is in the half labelled ‘L’, and the right lens is in the half labelled ‘R’.
There are also other design flaws in the new design which make it pretty much unuseable. Like if I remove both the lids from the new design, there’s no labelling inside the container, so I no longer know which lens is which. In the old design the contacts are held in a clip in the lid, so it’s not possible to mix up the lenses. And the clip meant that it was easy to remove the lens from the container – I have to fish around in a container full of contact solutions to get the lenses out of the new design.
Surely Bausch & Lomb, a company who make eye care products, should have the sense to make a better design than that.
i dare say those pictures are out of focus
