I’ve just been to Ludlow Castle, in Shropshire. Photos are on the photos page. Now I’m off to the pub.
And now, breaking my rule of not updating a blog entry unless there’s a mistake, I think I’ll expand on that, since there’s enough room for a little more text here.
Just after lunch I decided I wanted to go somewhere and have a play with the new camera, so I search on the internet for castles and found Ludlow Castle. Actually, I found Stokesay Castle first, and I was planning to go there via Ludlow, but Ludlow Castle turned out to be far bigger and more interesting than I was expecting, so I ended up taking several hours looking round it, and didn’t get to see the other castle, even though it was just a few miles down the road.
I did call in at the Severn Valley Railway on the way back since the station was right by the road. I took a few photos of a steam train, but they weren’t very good – too many tourists all over the place.
