Yesterady I took my car to a garage in Southam to try and get the engine problem fixed. They changed the lambda sensor, but it still doesn’t accelerate properly at low revs. When I drive in the country I get plenty of power and it’s really fun to drive, but then when I get back into town it really annoys me. Sometimes I start pulling away and there’s no power, and even if the revs get right up I still get no speed. But if I then stop, get the revs high while the clutch is in and then pull away, the engine works fine. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?
Anyway, while they were working on the car I went for a walk round Southam and took some photos. Here’s one of the church. I’ve decided to try a photo with a border and without rounded corners for a change, because I think the photos look better like this. For now anyway!
James:
Did you get this problem fixed? It sounds like a slipping clutch to me.

Actually, the new llambda sensor has nearly fixed the problem. It’s certainly made the car run smoother and accelerate better. But I sometimes still get a loss of power. I’m pretty sure it’s not a slipping clutch – my last car had a worn out clutch and it felt very different.
