I’ve sorted through my photos a little now, so here are four I think are worth sharing.
This is the view out of our hotel bedroom window in Tofino. We could only afford to stay there for one night, but the view was awesome. Islands would appear our of and disappear into the fog so the view was never the same for very long.
Just down the road from the hotel was Long Beach, where there were a lot of surfers. But it was foggy there too, so it was pretty difficult to get any pictures of them. But I got this picture of four people on their way out to the surf.
When we stayed on Gabriola Island for three days, we discovered this beat up truck by the road. There was also a two foot high model frog about ten metres up in the tree behind it, but it didn’t really improve the photo!
On the way home there was a forest fire across the valley from highway one. I didn’t actually see any fire, but there was plenty of smoke, and two very busy helicopters taking water from the river in enormous buckets and dropping it on the trees.
