This evening I watched Coventry Blaze beat Cardiff Devils 4-0 at ice hockey. It’s the first time I’ve watched an ice hockey game live. I watched a few bits and pieces on telly when I was in Canada, but wasn’t impressed. But I love it live! I thought that since I’m going out with a Canadian I should at least try to like their national sport. But I won’t need to try. It’s a cool game!
(Note to Canadians – in England I have to say ice hockey, because just hockey would mean field hockey.)

Yeah it’s true that hockey does indeed rule, though it’s disappointing that the NHL (National Hockey League) is out for the season! Wretched players always whining for more money! So next time you’re out James, we’ll have to give a stick and go play some proper shinny (that is, pickup hockey with no pads, whacking of the shins will often occur hence the name).
